Hi, I’m Elizabeth.

I’m a marketing and communications professional based in Minneapolis, MN with a talent for strategy, storytelling, and project management. I take pride in bringing a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and empathy to every project I touch. I'm also a systems whiz who loves to find ways to make things run smarter, better, and faster.

Jumpsuit Agency

2021 – Current

Jumpsuit is a full service agency powered entirely by expert independent contractors. We help big brands move at the speed of a startup, and help startups grow into big brands.

As a program manager with Jumpsuit, I provide team leadership and business oversight across a range of projects with Fortune 500 companies, startups, small businesses, and everything in between. I scope potential work, build compelling proposals, and ensure that projects are properly staffed, resourced, efficient, and set up for success and growth.

I also produce individual projects, playing a role that's part account, part project management, and part creative. I oversee content creation sprints, plan strategy workshops, and manage deadlines, timelines, budgets, and people—and so much more.

Geode Communications is a boutique marketing and consulting firm that I founded with Dory Athey. We specialize in creative endeavors and book marketing initiatives and offer freelance end-to-end academic, niche, bookseller, librarian, and influencer outreach campaign design, execution, and consultation; marketing workflow design and management; marketing analysis; and more.

Catapult

2017 – 2020

As Sales and Marketing Manager I directed the marketing campaigns for 20+ books a year at Catapult, an innovative independent publishing company, and managed the marketing schedule for even more titles. Catapult's books publish on a rolling basis throughout the year, which meant that a huge part of my role was managing the workflow of dozens of overlapping projects, while simultaneously ensuring that each title received a highly personalized marketing campaign—and that each author, agent, and editor felt confident in our team's work.

I also managed our newsletter marketing strategy, lead direct sales initiatives and eCommerce, presented at sales conferences and trade conventions nationally and internationally, planned special events and trade show appearances, directed social media influencer outreach, wrote marketing copy, designed marketing graphics, coordinated marketing and production schedules, hired and managed interns, and more.

Simon & Schuster

2015 - 2017

As a Marketing Assistant at Simon & Schuster, one of the largest publishers in the country, I managed and grew the Instagram account and launched influencer outreach campaigns for the Touchstone imprint; wrote content for Touchstone’s online vertical, Glommable (now GetLiterary), and initiated a large email capture campaign (the “GlomBox” giveaway). I also coordinated the complete publishing schedule and managed the title marketing efforts for several book annually.

While at Touchstone I assisted with high-profile marketing campaigns for titles including Anna Kendrick's Scrappy Little Nobody, Grace Helbig's Grace & Style, and Laura Prepon's The Stash Plan, among others.

“Without hyperbole, Elizabeth is the most reliable and industrious person I have ever had the privilege to work with . . . she has consistently proven herself adept at juggling her multifarious tasks while her position continues to expand. She has a particular talent for creating and improving efficient, effective processes. She speaks up and takes action when she identifies problems, especially those impacting the business across different teams. And in what is perhaps her superpower, she has an uncanny ability to work two steps ahead, anticipating needs and taking preemptive measures that allow her colleagues to do their best work. ”
